Initial Release


Initial release, and submission, of my 7 Day Roguelike project. Though it's not everything I wanted it to be,, it's playable and pretty fun, though not terribly deep. And for only a week in an engine I had never used before, I would call it a success. I will most likely continue development on this in the future, especially if other people enjoy it.

The grapple hook is pretty slick though, and to be honest that's where most of the week went. Figuring out non-trivial solutions for rope wrapping and unwrapping, especially when grappled enemies get involved, was tough, but it's by far the best part of the project. In the future I would like to overhaul some of the physics calculations, and fix the wacky physics that happen sometimes due to the combat code.
